Minal Hajratwala
Minal Hajratwala is a poet, author, editor, performer, queer activist, and writing coach based in San Francisco, known for their award-winning book *Leaving India: My Family’s Journey from Five Villages to Five Continents* (2009), editor of *Out! Stories from the New Queer India* (2013), and poetry collection *Bountiful Instructions for Enlightenment* published by The (Great) Indian Poetry Collective, which they co-founded. Born in San Francisco, they were raised in New Zealand and suburban Michigan, graduated from Stanford University, was a fellow at Columbia University, and served as a 2011 Fulbright-Nehru Senior Scholar. They created the Unicorn Authors Club and teach workshops like Writing from the Chakras.
