Mike Resnick
Mike Resnick was an acclaimed American science fiction writer and editor, born on March 5, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, who began his career selling articles and novels in the late 1950s and 1960s, often under pseudonyms in various genres.[1][2] He gained prominence in science fiction with his 1986 novel Santiago and the award-winning Kirinyaga series, authoring over 70 novels, 275 short stories, and editing more than 40 anthologies, winning five Hugo Awards and a Nebula.[1][2][3] Resnick passed away on January 9, 2020, after battling cancer, leaving a legacy as one of the most awarded short fiction authors.[1][4]
