Mike Goldsmith
Dr. Mike Goldsmith is a British scientist, author, and former Head of Acoustics at the UK's National Physical Laboratory from 1987 to 2007, where he researched noise, speech, sound, and intelligent machinery.[1][2] He holds a degree in physics and philosophy and a PhD in astrophysics from Keele University, and has written over 50 science books for children and adults since 1999.[2][3] His works include titles like Legendary Journeys: Space, Discord: the story of noise, and Eureka!, and he has been shortlisted twice for the Junior Aventis Science Prize.[1][3]
