Michel Hersen
Michel Hersen was a prominent clinical psychologist known for pioneering social skills training through lab tests in the 1970s and authoring over 189 books on psychopathology and diagnosis.[1][5] He held positions including at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (1970-1974), served as dean of the School of Professional Psychology at Pacific University from 1997 to 2011, and pursued nature photography inspired by the Hudson River School after retiring.[2][3][4] Initially trained as a classically trained violinist at Juilliard, he transitioned to psychology, editing seven journals and advancing professional education.[4][6]
