Michael Shaara

Michael Shaara was an American novelist and short story writer best known for the Pulitzer Prize-winning historical novel *The Killer Angels*, about the Battle of Gettysburg. He also wrote science fiction, sports fiction, and other historical fiction, and his work appeared in magazines such as *Galaxy*, *The Saturday Evening Post*, and *Cosmopolitan*.
