Michael S Smith

Michael S. Smith is one of the most talented and original interior designers of his time, renowned for blending European classicism with American modernism in residential, hospitality, and commercial projects. A native of California, he studied at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, later working with notable figures like Gep Durenberger and John Saladino before launching his firm, Michael S Smith Inc, in 1990. He has authored books such as 'Classic by Design' and 'Designing History', and served on the Committee for the Preservation of the White House under President Obama.
