Michael Nyman
Michael Nyman, born in Stratford, London in 1944, is an English composer, pianist, librettist, musicologist, and filmmaker known for his minimalist compositions and film scores. He coined the term 'minimalism' in music criticism, founded the Michael Nyman Band in 1977, and gained fame for scores including The Piano and collaborations with Peter Greenaway.[1][2][3]
