Michael Marland
Michael Marland (1934–2008) was a British educator, headteacher, and author renowned for his advocacy of comprehensive schools and inner-city education. He founded and led North Westminster Community School in London from 1980 to 1999, emphasizing multidisciplinary curricula, pastoral care, and community engagement. Marland authored influential books on education and poetry anthologies, and was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1977.
