Michael Kirby

Michael Donald Kirby is an Australian jurist, educator, and former Justice of the High Court of Australia, serving from 1996 to 2009. He is known for his long career in public law reform, human rights advocacy, and international legal work, and he has been noted as the world’s first openly gay justice of a national supreme court.
