Michael J. Hughes

Michael J. Hughes is an Associate Professor of Modern European History at Iona University, where he teaches courses on European history from 1648 to the present and serves in the Honors program.[1] He specializes in military history, particularly Napoleonic and Revolutionary France, focusing on military motivation, war, culture, and gender.[1] He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, an M.A. from Temple University, and a B.A. from Trenton State College, and is the author of Forging Napoleon's Grande Armée.[1][5]
