Michael Hammond

Michael Hammond is an American linguist and professor at the University of Arizona, known for his research on poetic meter, phonology, and computational linguistics. He served as head of the Department of Linguistics from 2001 to 2011 and has authored or edited six books and over 40 articles on topics including syntactic typology and the phonology of English.
