Michael Gill

Michael Gill is an Auckland-based author, doctor, climber, and photographer who was a close friend of Sir Edmund Hillary for nearly 50 years, accompanying him on most Himalayan expeditions. He has written several books including the mountaineering autobiography 'Mountain Midsummer', 'Himalayan Hospitals', and the biography 'Edmund Hillary: A Biography'.
