Michael G. LaFosse is a leading origami artist and paper sculptor who has been working in the field for over 40 years.[2][7] Trained as a biologist, he draws inspiration from the natural world and is best known for his origami animals, sea shells, and plants folded from custom handmade papers.[1][2] In 1996, he co-founded Origamido Studio with Richard Alexander, a teaching center and design studio, and together they have authored over 70 books about origami and paper arts.[2]
