Michael Dane

Michael Dane, whose real name is Michael Garozzo, is an Australian author and illustrator known for children's picture books such as Max and the Haunted Hotel, as well as adult fantasy novels and mystery fiction. Raised on a farm in outback Australia and educated in Cobar, he served 17 years in the Army, traveling to 75 countries before turning to writing in 2013 to cope with military stresses in Papua New Guinea. His works often reflect his passion for diverse cultures and exploration.
