Michael Bamberg
Michael Bamberg is a Professor of Psychology at Clark University, where he has taught since 1986, specializing in discourse, identity, and narrative analysis, particularly 'small stories' as sense-making and identity-building strategies.[1][2][5] He earned a Staatsexamen in German, Politics, and Education from the University of Marburg in 1975, an M.Phil. in Linguistics from the University of York in 1978, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from UC Berkeley in 1985.[1][5] Bamberg is editor of Narrative Inquiry, series editor of Studies in Narrative, and has received awards including the 2013 APA Award for Distinguished Theoretical and Philosophical Contributions to Psychology.[2][3]
