Michael Allen
Michael Allen is a Professor Emeritus of History at the University of Washington, Tacoma, known for his scholarly works on American history, particularly focusing on the Mississippi River Valley and Western frontier. Born and raised in Ellensburg, Washington, he served as a Marine Corps artilleryman in Vietnam before pursuing an academic career, authoring eight books including the award-winning Western Rivermen, 1763-1861 and the co-authored #1 New York Times Bestseller A Patriot's History of the United States.
