Michael A. Borowitzka
Michael Armin Borowitzka is an Australian algal scientist and Emeritus Professor at Murdoch University, specializing in the taxonomy, ecology, physiology, and symbiosis of algae, particularly coralline algae and the genus Dunaliella. He earned a Bachelor of Science with honors and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Sydney in 1970 and 1975, respectively. Borowitzka has made significant contributions to microalgal research, including editing books on algae for biofuels and biotechnology.
