Meyer Levin

Meyer Levin (1905–1981) was an American novelist, journalist, and playwright known for his socially engaged fiction and documentary-style writing. He wrote major works including "Compulsion," based on the Leopold and Loeb case, and "The Old Bunch," and was also active in journalism, film, and efforts to tell Jewish and Israeli stories.
