Melisa Torres is the best-selling author of the Perfect Balance Gymnastics series, books that center on gymnastics, confidence, and personal growth for young readers. She grew up in San Jose, California, trained at Almaden Valley Gymnastics Club, and later competed for Utah State University, where she was a two-time Academic All-American and team captain.
