Melissa Fay Greene
Melissa Fay Greene is an American nonfiction author known for her books on civil rights, social issues, and personal stories, including Praying for Sheetrock (1991) and The Temple Bombing (1996). Born in Macon, Georgia, and raised in Dayton, Ohio, she graduated from Oberlin College in 1975 and has received numerous awards, such as two National Book Award nominations, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and induction into the Georgia Writers Hall of Fame in 2011. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and nine children.
