Meena Alexander

Meena Alexander (1951–2018) was an Indian American poet, scholar, and writer whose work explored migration, memory, identity, and exile across India, Sudan, England, and the United States. She was the author of numerous poetry collections, essays, a memoir, and novels, and taught at the City University of New York.
