McGraw Hill Education is an American educational publishing company founded in 1888 by James H. McGraw through the purchase of the American Journal of Railway Appliances, later merging with John Hill's company in 1909 to form The McGraw-Hill Book Company. It has evolved into a global leader providing customized educational content, software, platforms, and services for pre-K through postgraduate levels, operating in 28 countries. The company is owned by Apollo Global Management and headquartered in New York City.
