Mayte Prida
Mayte Prida is a Mexican-American TV and radio host, author, motivational speaker, and breast cancer survivor, recognized as one of the 20 most powerful and influential Latinas in the US by People en EspaƱol and one of the most admirable Mexican women by CARAS Mexico. Born in Mexico City, she began her career as a reporter and anchor for Univision affiliates, becoming the youngest news anchor in Los Angeles' largest Hispanic market at age 24, later transitioning to music as the first Hispanic female rapper before focusing on health advocacy and speaking after her cancer battle. She founded the Mayte Prida Foundation to support Spanish-speaking communities fighting breast cancer and serves as a spokesperson for health campaigns.
