Matthew McConaughey

Matthew McConaughey is an American actor born in Uvalde, Texas, who achieved his breakthrough with a supporting role in the 1993 coming-of-age comedy Dazed and Confused. He earned the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Ron Woodroof in the 2013 biopic Dallas Buyers Club, and gained further acclaim for his starring role as Rust Cohle in HBO's True Detective (2014).
