Mathieu Anel
Mathieu Anel is a French mathematician and philosopher specializing in algebraic geometry, category theory, and the foundations of mathematics, with notable contributions to the theory of topoi and derived geometry. He earned his Ph.D. from Université Paul Sabatier in Toulouse in 2006 under the supervision of Bertrand Toën and has held academic positions at institutions including Carnegie Mellon University. Anel is also known for his work connecting homotopy theory with commutative algebra and for developing analogies between ∞-topoi and commutative rings.
