Marya Zaturenska
Marya Zaturenska (1902-1982) was an American lyric poet born in Kiev, Ukraine, who emigrated to the United States at age eight. She won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 1938 for her collection Cold Morning Sky and wrote eight volumes of poetry while also editing six anthologies. Her work was closely associated with the decadent literary movement and explored themes of poverty, spirituality, history, friendship, and childhood.
