Mary Wilson
Mary Wilson was one of the founding members of the Motown singing group The Supremes, alongside Diana Ross and Florence Ballard, remaining the only original member from 1961 until 1977, during which the group achieved 12 number-one hits. A singer, author, activist, fashion icon, and cultural ambassador, she wrote best-selling autobiographies including Dreamgirl: My Life as a Supreme and Supreme Faith, earned a degree from NYU in her 50s, and dedicated decades to underserved communities. She passed away suddenly on February 8, 2021.
