Mary Watson
Mary Watson is a South African author born in Cape Town in 1975, renowned for winning the Caine Prize for African Writing in 2006 for her short story 'Jungfrau' and being named to the Africa39 list of influential young writers in 2014. She holds a PhD in film studies from the University of Cape Town and has lived in Galway, Ireland since 2008, where she continues to write across genres including young adult fantasy, mystery, and contemporary fiction.
