Marty Hall
Marty Hall was a pioneering cross-country ski coach and innovator who served as the first full-time coach for the U.S. Ski Team, leading the program to its first Olympic medal with Bill Koch's silver in 1976. A standout skier at the University of New Hampshire where he earned a Skimeister silver medal at the 1961 NCAA Championships, Hall revolutionized training, grooming, waxing, and race formats, and was instrumental in developing the Birkie Trails. He was inducted into multiple halls of fame, including the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame in 2017 and the UNH Athletics Hall of Fame in 2002.
