Martin Lames

Martin Lames is a German sports scientist specializing in performance analysis, sports informatics, and training, with a focus on game sports and talent research. He studied sports, mathematics, and philosophy at Mainz University, earned his PhD there, and obtained his habilitation in sports sciences at Kiel University in 1997. From 2009 until his retirement on March 31, 2024, he held the Chair of Training and Computer Sciences in Sport at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), where he is now professor emeritus.[1][2]
