Martin Ford is an American futurist and author specializing in the impacts of artificial intelligence, robotics, and automation on the job market, economy, and society.[1] He founded a Silicon Valley-based software development firm and has over 25 years of experience in computer design and software development, holding degrees from the University of Michigan and UCLA.[3] His notable books include *The Lights in the Tunnel* (2009) and the New York Times bestseller *Rise of the Robots* (2015), which won the Financial Times and McKinsey Business Book of the Year Award.[1]
