Martin Bernal

Martin Gardiner Bernal was a British scholar of modern Chinese political history and a professor emeritus at Cornell University. He is best known for *Black Athena*, a controversial three-volume work arguing that ancient Greek civilization was significantly influenced by Egypt and Phoenicia.
