Martha Grimes
Martha Grimes is an American author best known for her detective fiction series featuring Scotland Yard inspector Richard Jury and aristocrat Melrose Plant.[1][2] Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on May 2, 1931, she transitioned from poetry to mystery novels and has also created the Emma Graham series.[1][2] She is a professor of English and lives in multiple locations including Maryland, New Mexico, and Florida.[4][6]
