Marta McDowell

Marta McDowell is an American author, horticulturist, and landscape historian whose books explore the gardens and plants connected to writers such as Emily Dickinson, Beatrix Potter, Laura Ingalls Wilder, and Frances Hodgson Burnett. She teaches landscape history and horticulture at the New York Botanical Garden and writes about the relationship between literature and gardening.
