Marshall Brain was an American author, educator, and entrepreneur best known as the founder of HowStuffWorks.com, a pioneering website that provided clear explanations of how the world works. He was also a prolific writer of books on technology and futurism, and appeared on numerous media outlets including National Geographic and CNN. Brain passed away at the age of 63 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
