Markus Rheindorf

Markus Rheindorf is an Austrian academic holding a PhD in Applied Linguistics and specializing in critical discourse studies, with a focus on political and media discourse, language policy, migration control, identity, and belonging. He is a Privatdozent at the University of Vienna and has previously been affiliated with the University of Salzburg's Department of English and American Studies. Rheindorf co-edited the book 'Sociolinguistic Perspectives on Migration Control' (Multilingual Matters, 2020) and collaborates on research projects examining irregularized migrants in sectors like agri-food and logistics in Germany.
