Marko Marcus
Marko Marulić (1450–1524), also known by his Latin name Marcus Marulus Spalatensis, was a Croatian writer, poet, and Christian humanist from Split. He is widely regarded as the father of Croatian literature and is known for works in Latin and Croatian, including the epic Judita and the moral treatise De institutione bene vivendi.
