Mark S. Monmonier
Mark Stephen Monmonier is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Geography at Syracuse University's Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. He is an acclaimed cartographer and author of over 20 books, most notably 'How to Lie with Maps,' and has made significant contributions to the study of cartography, geographic information systems, and their societal impacts. His research has earned him numerous awards including the Association of American Geographers Media Achievement Award and the American Geographical Society's O. M. Miller Medal.
