Mark McLaughlin is a Bram Stoker Award-winning author specializing in horror fiction, poetry, and nonfiction inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos, often collaborating with Michael Sheehan, Jr. on works like Horrors & Abominations and The Prisoner of Carcosa. Trained as a historian and cultural geographer at the University of Nevada, Reno, he has lived at Lake Tahoe since 1978 and published extensively, including over 700 articles, military history books, and board games.[1][3][4][5]
