Mark J. Rauzon

Mark J. Rauzon is a geography professor at Laney College in Oakland, California, and a wildlife biologist specializing in seabird conservation through vertebrate predator control and artificial habitat creation. He serves as Vice-Chair for Conservation of the Pacific Seabird Group and is a founding member of Friends of Sausal Creek, where he has developed riparian habitat in urban settings. Rauzon is also a bird photographer and author of books such as 'Isles of Amnesia' (2017) on island conservation in the American tropical Pacific and 'Isles of Refuge: Wildlife and History of the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands' (2001).
