Mark Godfrey

Mark Godfrey is a London-based art historian, critic, and curator best known for his work at Tate Modern, where he served as senior curator of international art from 2007 to 2021. He curated and co-curated major retrospectives and exhibitions including work by Gerhard Richter, Sigmar Polke, Alighiero Boetti, Franz West, and Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power. He has also co-edited The Soul of a Nation Reader and continues to work on projects with contemporary artists.
