Mark Epstein

Mark Epstein (born 1953) is an American author and psychotherapist who integrates Buddhist teachings with Sigmund Freud's approaches to trauma and psychotherapy. A Harvard College and Harvard Medical School graduate, he completed his psychiatry residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center and maintains a private practice in New York City as a clinical assistant professor at NYU School of Medicine. His notable books include 'Thoughts Without a Thinker,' 'The Trauma of Everyday Life,' and 'Advice Not Given.'
