Mark Cirino

Mark Cirino is a Professor of English and Melvin M. Peterson Endowed Chair at the University of Evansville, where he has taught American literature for over fifteen years. He earned his PhD from the Graduate Center-CUNY and has authored or edited numerous books on American literature, particularly focusing on Ernest Hemingway and James Joyce, including 'One True Sentence: Writers & Readers on Hemingway’s Art' (2022) and 'Philosophical Allusions in James Joyce’s Finnegans Wake' (Oxford University Press, 2023). He serves as General Editor for Kent State University Press's 'Reading Hemingway' series, hosts the 'One True Podcast,' and is working on a project titled 'How to Read Finnegans Wake.'
