Mark Bergin
Mark Bergin is an American author and retired police officer who served with the Alexandria, Virginia Police Department as a Lieutenant for 28 years before retiring in 2014[1]. Prior to his police career, he worked as a newspaper reporter in suburban Philadelphia and Northern Virginia, earning the Virginia Press Association Award for General News Reporting[1]. His debut novel APPREHENSION, published in 2019, won an award from the Public Safety Writers Association in 2022 and was a finalist for the Silver Falchion Award at the Killer Nashville conference in 2021[1].
