Marjorie Ann Moore

Marjorie Ann Moore Brown (1885-1987) was a San Francisco socialite and community activist who became one of the most important women in Nevada's suffrage history. She moved to the mining town of Tonopah, Nevada, where she founded and led the Nevada Equal Franchise Society and worked with various women's organizations. In 1968, at age 84, she published 'Lady in Boomtown: Miners and Manners on the Nevada Frontier,' documenting her 20 years of experiences on the Nevada frontier.
