Marjan Kamali

Marjan Kamali is an Iranian-American novelist born in Turkey to Iranian parents, who spent her childhood in multiple countries including Iran, Germany, Kenya, Turkey, and the United States before settling in the U.S. in 1982. She is the New York Times bestselling author of The Lion Women of Tehran (2024), The Stationery Shop (2019), and Together Tea (2013), with her works translated into over 30 languages; she holds degrees from UC Berkeley, Columbia University, and NYU, and received a 2022 National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing Fellowship.[1][2][3]
