Mario Salvadori

Mario G. Salvadori (1907–1997) was an American structural engineer and professor at Columbia University who pioneered the design of thin concrete shells and linked the fields of structural engineering and architecture.[2] He worked as a consultant on the Manhattan Project during World War II and founded the Salvadori Educational Center on the Built Environment to teach inner-city youth about science and mathematics through hands-on study of structures.[4]
