Marilyn Sachs
Marilyn Sachs (1927–2016) was an American author renowned for pioneering realistic fiction in children's and young adult literature, with over 40 titles including stories about the Holocaust. She began her career as a children's librarian and published her first novel, 'Amy Moves In,' in 1964, helping shift the genre from idealized stories to multidimensional characters.
