Marianne Richmond

Marianne Richmond is a USA Today bestselling author and illustrator known for over 60 children's picture books and board books that convey messages of love, encouragement, and bravery, having sold more than 9 million copies. While recovering from brain surgery for epilepsy in her youth, she began creating greeting cards and self-published her first book in 1997, later co-running a greeting card and publishing company with her husband Jim for 16 years before partnering with Sourcebooks. A native Midwesterner who has lived in multiple states, she now resides in the Nashville area, is a mother of four, and recently earned a master's in clinical mental health counseling, with her debut memoir If You Were My Daughter set for release in 2025.
