Maria V Mavroudi

Maria V. Mavroudi is a Greek-born American Byzantinist, historian, and philologist who is a professor at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research focuses on cultural and linguistic exchange between Byzantium and the Islamic world, including bilingualism in Greek and Arabic and the reception of ancient Greek science in Byzantium and Islam.
